The Back Story . . .  I grew up in West Hollywood, and graduated from Hollywood High.  I attended college in Long Beach, California.  After graduation, I worked for twenty years in Critical Care Medicine. I spent most of my time in ICU and ER witnessing the triumphs and tragedies of life.

Along with my nursing career, I began speaking for The American Heart Association.  I also became a Clinical Instructor at Long Beach City College.   After retiring from medicine, I went to floral design school and discovered I loved being a part of Weddings!   In addition, I volunteered in San Diego Superior Court from 2000 to 2005.  In 2005, I became a Deputy Commissioner of Civil Marriage for San Diego County, and performed “Courthouse Weddings” from 2005 through 2012.

Weaving all of these threads together . . .  it is the story of how I found my path to becoming a Wedding Officiant.  I am so fortunate to be in the position of truly loving my calling.  My nursing career gave me the skills to be calm, detail-oriented and well-organized. My public speaking experiences made me feel very comfortable in addressing large crowds. In 2010, I received the Deputy Commissioner of the Year Award from the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.  In 2006, I received a Certificate of Recognition from Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villarigosa.  In 2003, I received a Certificate of Merit from San Diego Superior Court.

At home, I am married to a wonderful man named Ken. He recently retired as a professional pilot, and now works as a photographer, Photoshop specialist and web designer.  We have three children and eight grandchildren who live across the USA!  We have a mini-Dachshund named Hunter, who keeps our home lively and makes us laugh every day.  We are so blessed to have family and friends who keep our lives very full and happy~
