Stephanie and Geoff July 2014 Fallbrook San Diego Wedding Officiant

De Haven 2There is sometimes a little twist in a Wedding, and this time, it was a switch which the Bride pulled on the Groom!  Stephanie had bought a very simple yet elegant gown, and had shown it to Geoff before the Wedding.  They even had their “First Look” photo session before the Wedding on the big day where he saw the simple gown.  However, after Geoff retreated to the Groom’ Room, and Stephanie retreated with her bridesmaids to the Bride’s Room; she changed into her “new” dress.  It was a beautiful creation of satin, lace and crystals!  Nothing plain about the new dress at all!  She looked like a Princess.

Everyone knew about “the switch” except Geoff, whose jaw dropped when he saw her walking down the aisle toward him.  It’s things like this that make my job as a San Diego Wedding Minister so much fun!  The little things!  The things that make the memories even more wonderful!  Another cool detail was that Geoff and Stephanie’s Wedding Day was also their two-year anniversary of having met.  So they celebrated the Anniversary of their meeting AND their Wedding all in one big party at Grand Tradition Arbor Terrace.  Both Bride and Groom are in the Navy, so I must take a moment to thank them for their service to our Country!  God bless you both and keep you safe and have a happily ever after forever!
